A study of insects from 18th century illustrations in a meditative mandala formation. This piece came together after exploring Assouline's book, Cabinet of Curiosities, and finding myself fascinated by the beautiful range of insects.
I compiled my favorites and began arranging them in a mandala formation, the repetition of form became mesmerizing.
